12 hour shifts

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one 1 year experience in a Registered Psychiatric Nurse role.
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatric nursing education program.
• Current First Aid & Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check, Including a Criminal Background Check (Within Six Months).

Duties & Skills:

• Gauging patients psychiatric states.
• Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
• Administering psychotropic and similar medications.
• Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
• Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
• Restraining, consoling and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients.
• Recording patients health journeys and reporting on notable alterations.
• Conducting targeted psychoeducation.
